My WinterRat (1988 VW Fox) is on  the hoist in the unheated part of the 
shop. The Exhaust system flanges at  the catalytic converter rusted away, 
and the exhaust system fell  away.   Found the parts to fix it, but need 
some heat to keep my  hands warm while working on it.





Yeah, I had to do that last month to the "Salt sucker" (92 Sunbird), as the 
 exhaust broke off clean in front of the converter. In my case, I just 
welded it  back together on a warm day. Two years ago (on the same car) I 
replaced all the  brake lines, due to rust, and last year it was the fuel lines. 
However, it keeps  the t-3s out of the salt, which is all I ask of it. : )
