Some adhesives become soft when warmed - you may be able to get away with
that, but I've no idea what works better than what else. I didn't change
the door rubbers when I restored my Fastback, but the originals came off
without too much trouble.

Subject: [T3] Door seals and painting
Hi all -
If you install a door seal, can it be removed later when the car is painted
and then reinstalled? Or do they suffer if removed? I have a leak and need
to replace my seal, but I'm not ready to paint. So, I don't really want to
buy a nice new seal only to have to buy it again because I destroyed it
taking it off the first time.
However, painting is far off so I think I have to buy the seal anyway. The
leak must stop !
