[T3] Voltage Regulator

I just got the halogen equivalents of what the OEM ones were and they were
physically identical. The ones I got were lower current at the same
brightness, so no wiring changes (except the ones I WANTED to do)

I was going thru the ole inbox and found this email because I meant to ask
about the halogen bulbs. I read the writeup on the type3.org page (
http://vwtype3.org/info-headlight-conversion.txt) and got somewhat
intimidated awhile back, but then saw this thread and wondered if things had
changed.

So, there are halogen bulbs that I can buy and just swap out that won't
require additional wiring/relays? A quick check found some for about $17.
 Here's one example: http://bughaus.com/type37.htm

would work with original wiring?

Thanks,
