[T3] engine swap and alternator conversion

Hey all!   Does anyone know if I can put an AT engine into a MT car?  What would I have to alter and how difficult would it be?  Also does anyone make an alternator conversion for our type 3's?  I have a '73 Fastback FI.  Thanks Doug
