Joe Jim done mine back a few months ago. It had been setting up for 20
years
done a fine job on it and my calipers as well which were locked up. Will
probably be doing business with him again soon.

I can give that a shot. My current one is the standard replacement models
that are available, as I had originally replaced it a long time ago
(pre-public internet days :-) ).
When it was removed from the car for storage, I had placed it in a ziplock
bag to protect it. Well somewhere over time, the bag developed a hole and
the moisture did a number on it. I couldn't even get the piston to move at
all when tapping on it. So I was just going to replace it and use this one
as a core if needed.
I had the same results with one I sent Jim. I actually I sent him 2, but
wasn't sure IF either could have been rebuilt (1 was stored like you
mentioned since 1990, and was very rusty). Turns out they both were rebuildable.
He's actually rebuilt quite a few for me over the years (for different t-3s).
