VDO was on the one I purchased and it had the part number that was on the original one in my 72 type3

As I understood it, they aren't the same length - while the mechanism and
castings are the same for certain Type 2 and Type 4s, the wire and tube
lengths are different.  I don't know if Beetles ever had this style of
sender, but it's possible I suppose.    Someone is manufacturing them,
according to posts on here in the past year, but I don't recall who.

You can buy new senders.  They are the same for some bugs or 411's?
