I don't think there's  any way to put the 5-bolt pattern into Type 3 
disks. There's just no metal  out at that radius. What you would need 
would be adaptor plates. Those  would space the wheels out a bit 
farther, and that might create other  problems with fender clearance.



Jim, the link I gave earlier showed that the disc brake spindles will need  
to be modified, and a bolt on caliper bracket is then mounted to the 
modified  spindle. Unfortunately, these conversion discs don't use actual VW 
calipers.  They do however decrease the track by 1/2 inch, which helps on the 
front of our  cars when using non-stock rims and tires.
