I have to agree that FI is more responsive that stock twin carb - better low
speed response and brighter performance altogether.  

However, if you're comparing an uprated carb set-up with a stock FI car, of
course you can get better acceleration, torque etc., but you're only likely
to do it at the expense of your miles per gallon and perhaps a frustrating
period while you get the jetting right.  However, a couple of guys on here
claim better performance and mpg for their mods, so maybe you've found the
answer too.

The FI and carbs are identical in regards to this... actually, FI has a
better lower end as it doesn’t rely on vacuum to get gas into the cylinders
as much.  If you noticed a difference, then your FI wasn’t set up
properly.... that simple.
