[T3] Rattling shifter

Just about done with the job....putting it all back together.  Does the stop
plate have to be in any particular place as far as forward or backward?   I
see that it slides forward and back a tiny bit in the elliptical holes.  I
know about the tabs, so its already installed the correct way with regard to
that.
