I can't think offhand of a ssrvice manual error, but they do sometimes have
update pages that give a different method for doing things. I was thinking
of the Bentley, which was produced using offical VWoA sources of service
material.

Have you ever seen a service manual that had it wrong? I don't think I ever
have, but lots of people certainly DO it wrong, in spite of the
instructions.
