[T3] water in car

I have had this problem at one time or another with every VW I've
ever owned; and living in Houston where we regularly get 5" or more
rain in a day, it's really annoying. For me, the problem has always
been caused by old leaves etc. that have fallen into the vents over
the years, that eventually turn into mulch and fall down into the
drain tube, completely clogging it. The assembly under the vent then
just fills up with water until it overflows, usually coming into the
car's interior through various holes underneath the dash. I usually
snake out all the drain tubing and it solves the problem.... until
the next time it fills up. I've never done anything as drastic as
changing seals.
