We have 4x4s but they're mostly smaller than your RAM pickups. Some buy 4x4s
for their wives to use for the school run on the basis they can drive
through things and still survive.  It is less happy for the rest of us but
we can easily use the smaller roads and parking spaces, so the bigger
vehicles often seem to end up in the way.

If there's a vehicle blocking the road on no-parking lines, you can bet it's
a 4x4 or a big Mercedes.

YIKES!  That's why there are no mini-vans and pickup trucks in the UK right?
We could end up getting closer to that in the US too...  we'd lose the big 3
if they couldn't sell trucks for commuting.

Something I think about when considering that 2056 one more time...

That's a lot of conversion to do!  Wait a bit...  1.28 GBP per litre x 4.54
to get imp galls x 4/5ths for US gallons x 1.60 $ to GBP   =  $7.43 per US
gallon.

It's even worse than I thought!
