That is the correct size.  The 80 is the profile, but unless a different
profile number is specified, it is assumed to be 80 (occasionally 85).

  I know this is a stupid question, but could somebody verify the correct
original tire size for the '68 Type III? I'm getting ready to replace my
tires which are 165/R15, but for some reason I was thinking some of the vw's
had 165/80/R15?
