That should be fine. When I did mine, I borrowed a bunch of spring 
type clothespins and used them all around the window openings to hold 
things temporarily until I made the final decision and glued them. 
After gluing, the clothespins went back on until the glue dried.

It could stay that way as long as it takes to get the glass back in.

Get your headliner at a GOOD place. Mine was a cheap JC Whitney item. 
We can hope that better headliners are out there. Bob or John may 
know who does good ones.
