[T3] Rust!

I've never seen one - either get a section from a car without the problem,
or bang some metal to shape! The original metal is very easy to panel beat,
if you've got access to a scrap car for the metal, and get a tree trunk
section to hammer onto, and a cheap set of hammers from Harbor Freight or
somewhere.

The cars without the ventilation slots don't suffer from the problem - it's
water getting through the sealant in the catch tray that causes the problem.
All the asealants are hard and have shrunk over 40 years. That causes
problems in many body seams too.

Does anyone make a patch panel for the area which had the foam?

Thanks for the responses concerning what to do about this area.
