FE --

I'd love to see what kind of Tow Bar you built. You can send the
photos to my E-mail address at gbforsmo at gmail.com

Being the "purist" that I am with my T3, I prefer some sort of
"bolt-on" Axle Beam Tow Bar. As the "original owner" of my '69
Squareback, I've tried to keep my car as "stock" as I can. (Thanks to
some of the influence of Jim A. :-)

No offense to those who choose to modify their cars.

Questions:
Does anyone have three measurements that you could E-mail me?

1) The horizontal distance from the lower seam of the Axle Beam to
the most forward point of the bumper? I'm in Texas and my car is in
Wisconsin. Arrgh.
2) The width of each of the two small openings on the right and left
of the Axle Beam?
3) The distance from (right-to-left) the outside edge of the two
small, oval openings of the Axle Beam.

The measurements do NOT have to be down to 1/16 of an inch ... but
within approximately 1/4" will do.

Jeepers, I wish I had my car at hand. Then I wouldn't have to ask
others for answers and these favors.

I'm trying to do a preliminary drawing for the Blue Ox Tow Bar people.
Blue Ox has agreed to see me and provide information and choices
about the availability of tow bar attachments that they use for
building the base plates for all of the "towable" cars which a
manufactured. The cars are all different and each base plate is kind
of a "custom" pattern.
