[T3] Bilstein jack position

I have the bar in the front trunk. Maybe that's why! The bottom of the
tube is crimped over to stop too much dirt going up when in use.

I assume this is the 'monkey up a stick' jack? From some time in '72 or '73
they had a handle-wound jack, with a yellow marker washer (for Type 3). I
think Type 4s got a green washer. Maybe that's neater.

OK, I have the jack in the car nicely, upside down, but the handle wont
slide in the tube as the end is too small, how were they supposed to go in?
how was the handle supposed to go in? the one in the crate is in upside
down and the handle FITS in the tube, but when rightside up in the 71 the
bottom is too big to fit between the reinforcing bar and the body so it sits
up too high to get the handle in and close the trunk..

Hmmm
