Okay, so that's what happens.  It's possible that I could still fix 
yours, using 12 V parts. I'm not sure  because I've never seen the 
insides of a 6 V one. I'd be happy to try, or  I have lots of good  
used 12 V clocks here. $20 as is or $50 rebuilt,  plus shipping.





Or you could do a quartz clock conversion. I've done that on several  cars 
now. The t-3 clock is easy, as all you need is a long shaft clock kit from  
Walmart, and a standard  3/8-16 nut (to act as a spacer). Granted, you have  
to literally destroy the old clock mechanism (take it completely apart), 
but it  does keep time really well.
