Hey, there's Hall County in Nebraska, and a fascinating indian bridge over
the road with an encampment of teepees, but I admit you have to be intereted
in farming to get much out of the rest! At least in a Type 3 caravan there
are some interesting vehicles to look at.

We started looking at routes and timing last night. First run through had
us leaving Dearborn Tuesday morning and driving as far as Iowa City for the
night. Wednesday would take us to North Platte, NE and then a short day
on Thursday to get to Colorado Springs in time for the Early-bird BBQ.

This would make for some pretty easy days of 8 hours, 8.5 hours and 5 hours.
Little lighter that we have done in the past, but making it in two days
would be 11+ both days and get us in late on Thursday.

The lighter days might be good if we have a larger group than we have in
the past. Would give us time to stop along the way if there is anything
interesting to see (swing into the Wolfe compound, etc.) We would not feel
like we had to be up at the crack of dawn and on the road. Of course this
is completely flexible at this time and we can make adjustments as
necessary.

I know you've driven across Nebraska many times, and to tell you the truth,
is about as exciting as Kansas. ;^) Not much of anything, until you get into
the bigger cities. Like I said, I haven't really taken the time yet to work
it all out, as it's still a few months away, and like Keith mentioned,
vacation time might be at a premium. So at this time I don't know what
we're doing yet. In the Notch, it wouldn't be a problem, as I know it'll
run those 11+ hour days easily (BTDT).
