I think youll be far better off building it yourself, I don't trust anyone
Building these engines, I keep hearing horror stories from "reputable"
builders and you all know just how smooth my T4 build has gone... but my
last engine in the square that I built myself, in 1991, stock, has 125K on
it and still going strong.

I called them. A T-3 long block with shipping to me plus core charge would
be a little over $1600. Not a bad deal for all that but I will probably go
another way and build it myself. Still talking to folks.

Keep in mind as well, shipping east to west is far more expensive than
shipping west to east, and shipping for the individual is far more expensive
than a company with a shipping account.

figure $175-200 for drop shipping a long block
I think that's about what I paid for my all aluminum case MOFOCO engine to
be shipped back in 2006. However it didn't really have far to go, until it
went to Montana. :O Like someone else here mentioned, it too was timed
like a t-1, so changing that was the 1st order of business. Supposedly it
was
to be set up as an FI T-3 engine, but what I got was basically a t-1 carb
set up. What I mean by that, is that there was no provision for the head
temp
sensor, and the t-1 drive gear orientation, and a plate covering where the
t-3 dip stick would go (it was new a universal case). But it came with a
"rebuilt" t-3 oil cooler, that I ordered when the engine was built (insert
rolling eyes icon here).
