That alone will make it run hot.
I'm running an SVDA in mine, and it has a total advance of 30*, all in at
3000 rpms. I've always been told (and have even read) that you don't want
more than 32*, unless you're at light load. There's been a time where I've
tried it though, but I could hear it pinging. I immediately stopped, went to
the back of the car, and knocked some timing out of it to get back home (I
was on a test loop).
