[T3] 2012 Invasion

Arrived back from the Invasion in Lake Geneva on Sunday; 7/1 via
Loveland, Fort Collins & Greeley, CO.

Logged 2,183 on the motor home;
'69 Type 3 logged 2,289 miles. ???

Filled the VW tank with 8.577 gallons of gas.  266.88 MPG.  WOW!

Oh wait .... we only actually only drove the Square 153 (local) miles
in Colorado.
17.838 MPG.

Previous 13 years 24.959 MPG.

Somehow the odometer on the Square varied by +.0488.

When I had 255/80 R22.5 tires installed on the coach they
re-calibrated the speedo/odometer electronics to reflect the change
(revolutions per mile) from the 235/80' R22.5's.

Gotta check a few more tankfuls, I guess.

Thanks to Jim, John, Bob, Dave, Scott, and all the I-80 "caravaners"
for helping us enjoy our first Invasion.  We met many of the List
people who have previously only been "posters" who have advised,
commented, helped with my questions.
