[T3] Invasion prep woes....

My leaky injector continued to ooze gas, so yesterday afternoon I
attached a long hose to my fuel ring test port and proceeded to use
that to test a bunch of the used injectors that I had stored in
kerosene.

I found that lots of them still leaked, but still came up with what
appeared to be 10 decent ones. Unfortunately, I was not able to test
the spray pattern or delivery quantity with that jerry-rigged setup.

I picked one "good" injector and installed it in the #3 position,
only to find after all that trouble that now #3 no longer fired. Took
it for a test drive and it ran like C*&P. Spent the next hour trying
to figure out what else I might have bumped and finally pulled both
left injectors out while still attached to the fuel ring to look at
the spray pattern. Both were narrow streams, not cones.

So I replaced both with new ones. Now everything runs great again.

A glass tech is coming this morning to do spot repairs on 2 small
windshield chips. I still haven't done anything about the muffler,
but I should have time to buy some putty to fix that. After that, all
I have to do is pack and get ready to meet Gary and set off for Iowa
City.

With luck, I might even have time to get a much needed haircut.

John is considering whether he should come without Jill, who's still
not cleared for long distance travel. We will miss Jill but hope John
can join us. It would be sad for Sophy to miss her first Invasion. I
assume it's still possible that Jill could get her clearance today.
