[T3] 1970 steering column and allen bolts-help!

So everyone knows...a 71 steering column bracket will
fit into a 70.  thanks mike and jim!
took out the two screws, then the allen bolts, then
the bolts.  now, my steering wheel doesnt move around
nearly as much.
i did realize that the hextagonal threads that the allen bolts
screw into (on the bracket) seem like a very weak design.  i have watched
two separate ones split, leaving the allen bolt without a thread
to screw into.  has anyone else had this problem?
