[T3] Hinge issues

I like the idea of the 1/8" neoprene tubing to restrict the up-travel
of the hatch and add some cushioning.  But I suspect wear will
continue to take place and over time more and more thickness will need
to be added.

1/8" wall thickness?  What diameter tube?  Or is it solid neoprene?

A little hatch headroom loss is not a big deal for me, as I'm a bit
vertically challenged.

Do you know the source of the "good" hinge cover repops?
