Those rubber pieces stop the tailgate rattling - I would change to one that
does its job, but it's a matter of personal choice of course.

I'm pretty sure you just have to remove three screws to take out the tab.
However, I'm going for as close to factory as possible here, so I'll live
with my no-rubber original striker until I can find a nicer specimen.
