[T3] dipstick question

It's an early one, so maybe it was chrome plated back then.

The gauze won't trap much, but if you've a full-flow system, that should.

The dipstick itself has always been spring-loaded. There's only one
dipstick listed. It's the oil filler tube that bolts to the back of the car
that's shorter or longer - that's a metal pipe.

FYI:

Mine is a longer one than the one pictured earlier. Also, mine is spring
loaded, where it hits bottom first, then the cap moves further "down" before
it locks into place.

The plating looks like thin chrome to me; can't tell for sure.
Overall, the dipstick is in very good shape.

My main concern is whether I should do something about it or if my filter
system will catch any possible pieces.

Thanks,
Dan
