Someone has asked me if I can rebuild the front wheel cylinders from
a '65 squareback, but I've never seen any of those. Can anyone tell
me what the seal inside them looks like?

It would either be a solid disk, like the rears, with no center hole,
or it would be a "ring" that fits in a groove around the piston.

Which is it? The parts book indicates that 61-65 are all 22 mm
(actually 7/8" = 22.2 mm) so they are the same diameter as the late
rears, but I only have replacement seals of the solid type.

I'll try. There's a spring, that's attached to a "cup expander", followed
by a cup, then a piston, then the boot. I don't know if that helps or not. I
got the info out of the Blue Bentley, as my wheel cylinders are in various
states of disassembly at this time (part of the reason I when discs on the
64). From what I saw though, the "cup" didn't have a hole in it.
