[T3] Engine bolted in good news bad news

I suspect what Dennis is seeing IS the leak from the Orings at the metal
plastic seam. As Jim says, the hoses often leak and Id replace the hose on
the injector regardless, they are all old now and not to be trusted.

Ive found it common to find the Oring leaking on injectors that have been
sitting, I think Jim has had luck with them swelling back out but I haven't
so far.. then again, I haven't tried much, definitely worth a try.

That seems odd, because in 44 years, I've only seen 1 or 2 injectors
that actually leaked out thru the electrical connection. Are you SURE
the leak is not thru the short hose that's crimped onto the injector?
Leaky hoses there are VERY common. You can carefully cut thru the
crimp ferrule and replace that hose with something newer. There's a
normal hose barb underneath there, so be careful not to cut thru the
rubber and into that fitting.

Not quite as common are leaks where the molded plastic meets the
steel injector body. If your leaks are there, there are O-rings
inside which have dried out and shrunk. You can't get in there to
replace them, but if you let them soak in gasoline, they often swell
back up and seal. The easiest way to do this is to just run the
engine for a few seconds a couple times a day for a week.

I have new and good used injectors. New ones are $50, used ones are
half price.
