[T3] no fuel spray at injectors

Jim,

I checked the plug wires from dist 1 and 2. I switched them because they
did not seem right. The engine started right up and stayed running and
running pretty good too. Now I will check all valves adj., timing, use my
engine gas analyzer and tune er up. Goes to show you how stupid Jay at
Vigilanti was. He did say my fuel pump was bad and wanted me to give him
another $250. I think Jay switched the plug wires to throw me off. He was
getting pretty sinful during the end of my rebuild. Him, never ever again.

Thank you for your input. Also I was thinking what you were mentioning about
the dist. in an ongoing email to others. Thanks what made me think deeper
about my situation. That help also.

Ken

When you do this, one PAIR of injectors should click, either 1&4 or
2&3, so you should get clicks from both sides. Which pair clicks
depends on the position of the distributor. Try FEELING each injector
while you do this, then turn the dist 180 and repeat. If you have a
bad connection to one injector, this should show it up.

These should be happening pairwise, as above.

The spark occurred because you pulled the green wire with the key ON.
Hope you didn't get too much of a shock. It can feel significant.

I believe the whine is the caused by bubbles being pushed out thru
the pressure regulator. It's pretty common and doesn't ever seem to
be a problem. It's an indicator that fuel is flowing and that the
pressure regulator is working, although there's no assurance that
it's working at the right pressure. Pressure regulator failures are
extremely rare.

Back to your problem, are you SURE the distributor is all the way
down, fully engaged with the drive gear? It's possible for it to be
sitting on top of the gear and not rotating in sync, or not even
rotating at all. To make sure, see if you can twist the rotor CCW.
There may be some play/backlash, but it should not slip.
