Oh yes - forgot that.  Many modern cars have vanity mirrors both sides.  If
I got an LHD passenger sun-visor for the Squareback, I could do it at the
traffic lights easily.    

Hmm, hang-on, I don't wear lipstick, and don't even like that lipsalve
stuff.  Problem solved!  ;-)
