K is for Kraft, which is German for strength, force, or power. The VW 
K manuals covered carbs as well as fuel injection. It may have 
included the fuel pump and gas tank, too. I'd have to dig mine out to 
be sure.

The engine manuals were separate, M IIRC, for motor.
