I've found 311 906 063A in the engine section on the fuel injection page,
item 54.

That's used in M27/M249 (automatics) from engine X000001 and M27 is
"Compliance with US exhaust emission standards from chassis 312 2000 001".
I don't know what aspect of the 72-on Automatic Type 3s had an electrical
device for the emissions, but I expect someone will know.

It's a relay, good size, 311 906 063B  mounted next to the pressure sensor
on a 73
