And ANOTHER coating of snow last night and heavy salting this morning... now
the roads are a true treat (FOR THE DEER!) Bright white today with trails of
dust down the sides and middle...

IT takes about an inch of rain in the spring to wash them off pretty well,
however, the salt lingers in the cracks and potholes for much longer, as
well as the side of the road.  With a good dry summer, you can still see
salt leaching out of parking lot cracks and white crustations on the sides
of the road in places thru most of the summer...  Insidious stuff!

How much salt is still imbedded in the pavement up their after winter is
over and dose summer rains bring that out?
