It will be VERY cool to have you and your fasty up here in 2014 Dennis. You
have done such a good job of keeping us up to date on the progress - we all
want to meet you and see this car! At the 2012 Invasion we all got to visit
with Bob and Sue, and we all got to see "Wolfie" - the T34 they restored
and documented the process for all of us to see. Wolfie is a celebrity in
his own right ;-)

I'm glad to read you are planning on attending, and joining Marion's a
caravan will bring a lot of confidence and FUN to the drive North!

Yes, it would be cool to have you attend, with, or without your Fastback.
I our case, I decided at the 2010 Invasion, that I was taking the T-34
(Wolfie) to the 2012 Invasion. It was more of a case of making my mind up,
and just doing it. It did take almost 2 years to get the car there though.
Most of that time was spent cutting out rust, welding in new metal and
chasing the rest of body out (a year alone on that). I had a lot less time
going thru the mechanicals though, as they are standard type 3 parts.
Granted, some of those parts are "early" parts.
If you decide to drive your car in a caravan, you'll have a lot more fun,
than just flying in, or driving something else would give. I know, as I've
driven a T-3 to 4 Invasions so far, and I can say getting there IS half the
fun. : )

I mention going and taking Clementine to my wife Angela and she didn't give
me the you are crazy speech (yet) so that's a good sign. My middle son
Isaac is ready to go already. Bob wasn't you who said you had some good
cushion put in your seats for the trip? I may have to go back later and
take the front seats back apart and put some better stuffing in them. I can
already tell by no more than I have driven it that I will have back issues
if I don't. Right now they just have the original horse hair under them.
