The single port heads severely limit the top end.

If it's regular, check the plugs. Check the wires for rubbed thru 
spots or cracks. I sell bulk wire, and of course check the 1k 
resistors. Also, check for dist cap cracks and tracks, or just 
moisture under the cap. That can drive you nuts.
