I don't think there is a problem with the tips coming off, 
Problem is you cant get the idle jets that fit these anymore, you have to
drill them out if you want them larger.

Isn't that part actually 2 pieces: the electrical part with a 
plunger, plus a jet cap, that comes in different sizes. They were 
only sold together, but is it possible for only the electrical part 
to back out? If that happened, would the leak be smaller?
