Keep in mind that where you live, your "winter" doesn't really amount to
much colder than 30-40 F.

The oil I found is sold as a Diesel oil meeting a bunch of Diesel standards
as well as the SL standard. I originally bought it to do an oil change on a
300D, but then I noticed the SL rating on the back.

Humm well I have been using shell rotella 15-40 diesel oil with this new
engine thinking I was good on the zddp but I didn't think about all this.
My dad used Chevron special 30w back in the 70s (no longer produce). Then I
used 20w50 Castrol in the 80s.
