After calibrating the FI for the 2056, im well versed on the D version
pressure sensor. Im adjusting main mixture, the inner screw. I have glued
The inner stop in place so I wont mess that up and the full load enrichment
seems fine so Im not touching that now.

Today I left the parking lot at work and right to the floor in 1st gear to
make it up the little hill... the engine was cold but not that cold as it
only sat for 4 hours... then after I got done at the fitness center I felt
fit but the car sure didn't as it took all it had to get up the hill
afterward, once past 2500 RPM or so its fine but below 2000... NOTHING, its
smooth but NO power.

Bob got me thinking though, it seems to be cranking rather nicely lately and
with the 25W50 in there... hmmm, so Tonight I pulled the trigger contacts
off and just cranked it... seems to be cranking steady but a bit too fast,
I need to bundle up this weekend and stick a compression gauge on #1 and see
where its at, it was coming down last I checked which was maybe 8Kmi ago?

Hmmm.....

> This is the 71 so its FI, the Fuel pressure is fine,

So you're adjusting the pressure sensor? The '70-1 pressure sensor is
more complicated than the earlier and later versions. There are 3
separate adjustments; which one(s) are you adjusting?

I'm comfortable matching the calibrations of the earlier and later
versions, but I haven't put in enough time yet to be comfortable with
the '70-1 version. What's your take on what you're doing?

Or are you changing something else?

The problem arises when you try to compensate for a problem with one
parameter by adjusting something else. The compensation is never
accurate across the whole range of inputs unless you're adjusting the
parameter that's having the problem. In fact, you're likely to end up
with something that works well within some narrow range but is really
bad everywhere else, which should sound rather familiar.
