Questions:
1) Are the right- and left-hand Clamps identical?
Yes
2) Have you ever replaced a Clamp that is INSTALLED IN the car without
completely removing the Axle Beam?
No, but it shouldn't be a problem.

Jim thought the one (1) vertical, bolt MAY be impossible to remove because
of its location. And probably badly rusted, also.
Do you have to remove the fuel tank to get at it? Is there a welded in nut?

They can be in there good, but ive always gotten them out. It's a welded
nut in there and I don't think you have to remove the fuel tank, although
whenever I work on the front end I just remove it to make things easier to
get at, its pretty easy if the tank is near empty.

3) Please. PM me gbforsmo at gmail.com with the cost of one or two?.

I can tell you, I won't install and tow my car with my "clamp-on" Base
Plate until that Axle Beam Clamp is replaced.
And I really would like to tow my '69 Square to New York for the 2014
Invasion.
We'll be leaving for Texas for the winter, soon. Probably no time to do it
this fall. And we return May 1, 2014. Time will be short, the, too.

As Gilda Radner (aka Roseannadanna) on Saturday Night Live said: "It's
always something."
