Thats why I mentioned that, my Notch just didnt seem able to maintain its
stock stance when parked in the Jaranson driveway, been fine since!  VW
gods?  thats the only thing I can think of!

This from the guy who couldn't explain why the front of his Notch  suddenly 
"lost" some ride height, only to have it suddenly return without doing  
anything to the car back in 2008. ;-) 
Did you ever figure out what happened?
