[T3] Stick Shift Issues

That bolt has a point on the end and a hole in the top so that it can be safety wired to keep it from coming out. I am sure someone here has the parts and also has what you need to get the cover back on to protect that are of your car. I would not use anything that is not close to the original parts.

Subject: Re: [T3] Stick Shift Issues

So I'm in my apartment, which is great.

I was able to jack up Scone and get under.
The plate was missing, like Bob mentioned it might be. Unfortunately, I also found that the bolt connecting the shift coupler to the rear rod for the transmission is also missing. Pictures found here
http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?p=7198464#7198464 where I have the forum post for Scone on the Samba. If that doesn't load, just searching Scone Squareback in the forum search will bring it up. I was wondering the best thing to replace this. Is it okay to find a bolt from, say, a hardware store?
Whatever would be the best fix is what I want. I'd rather not sham something together that ends up hurting Scone down the road. Also, on the forum, I have pictures of where I think I may have a leak. I believe it's on the suspension, but I could be wrong.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jaz
