I bought 4 Classic tires in June of 2010 from a Firestone dealer in
Burlington, WI for about Tire Racks advertised price.
I had them order a 5th tire to use as a "spare" in 2012, which I put in the
tire well.

The old "spare" was a aged Michelin that may not have ever seen the road.
But it was old and although it still held 42 lbs. of air pressure to
activate the windshield washer tank, I didn't trust it as a "driveable"
tire on the car.

I believe the Classic tire is produced by the (Korean) Kuhmo Tire Company.
 So far so good.

But honestly, I wish that Coker Tire Company (I think they have the
original 165/80 R15's Michelin tire molds) would see fit to production run
of several hundred tires.
Do you think we could convince Coker to do that?
If (big IF) they were built to the original Michelin standards, would you
think there would be sufficient interest among active Type 3 owners to buy
what they would produce?
