[T3] heater thermostats

The originl Type 4 heater boxes were little more than cased steel tubes, not
the cast alloy finned parts that the Type 2 bus and Type 3 got. The bus
with an upright Type 1 engine was diabolically cold, even in the UK winter,
but luckily there was room to wear a very thick coat. ;-)

yea, thats why I took out the Thermostats and blocked off the elbows, it was
when I put the T4 motor in it and when the T3 engine went back in, I just
left them out. I DO get more heat, I swear! but with the 72-4 T2 heater
boxes on the T4 engine its really quite toasty in there rather quickly.

That's pretty surprising, but I often find that those brackets have been
bent a few times by the time I get to them. It often takes a bit of work to
get them back in the correct shape. I've never seen one broken, but I can
imagine that one could, especially if it had been weakened by too much
previous bending.

With the Type 4 conversion, you don't get anything equivalent to those
pipes, do you? So you really don't have any choice about what to do with the
heater mixer boxes.
