[T3] Car won't start...

My non-working car's been flat-bedded home.  ''71 w/ ''73 engine, FI, stick.
Just this for now.   How to eliminate Ignition Switch as the problem?
Symptoms:Key turn does it's thing with fuel relay. Nothing otherwise.
Crossing Solenoid with Starter (key off) produces whirring noise.Car backfired, lightly, twice when it died.
