[T3] SilverBacks

Met someone who works on, restores, VW SilverBacks.    Never heard of them...never saw one.     Search finds that it's a Karmann Ghia model.   Question:   Are any parts interchangeable vis a vis Squarebacks?
PS:   Searches for mufflers for 72 T 3 have turned up  n o t h i n g...not in Image Search or at Mamba.
