[T3] Steering weel center cover

I assume this is the plastic 4-spoke type. The plastic has probably shrunk
as the plasticiser evaporated over years. Maybe a bit of warmth from a
hot-air gun, and spreading the moulding lugs would work, rather like what is
needed sometimes on the breather caps that pop up if the engine gets
over-hot. Check they have not been chewed up by careless re-fitting first.

The earlier button type is held in by a spring wire that sits in shallow
grooves in the horn-ring or horn-bar hub - another example of older is
better (and prettier too)! Hmm, sounds like some of us. ;-)

Subject: [T3] Steering weel center cover

Those in southern areas may by now have some tricks to keep the steering
wheel center cover from popping off in the hot sun....besides trying to find
nice new (40 yr old) plastic replacement parts.   Duct tape with some rubber
bands can work in a pinch...but...not for long and not too attractive.
Any hints?
