I have to agree with Jim on this one. Contact Ray (on the Samba), as he'll 
tell you how to "treat" the tank, and keep it from rusting on the inside.
I only say that, as a buddy of mine "sealed" his fuel tank. 3 years later, 
it seperated and clogged up the entire fuel system, lines and carbs. It was 
a real mess, that he spent months trying to get out (replaced all of the 
fuel lines, the fuel tank, and the carbs. Definitely not worth it.
