Yes, thats the original muffler for the crate, which actually has the
Notch's original muffler on it as the OEM crate muffler was rotted when I
got it, but both the same muffler for 65.

That will also fit the 1500 twin carb, just blank off the small pipe that
pre-heats the manifold.  There are quite a few of those cars around in other
parts of the World, but they officially only started imports to the USA with
the 1600 models in '66, though they had been trickling in from Canada and by
personal imports.  They are even rarer than the later mufflers, but the cars
are probably rarer still!  They would have been original for the egg-crate,
eh Keith?

That's a muffler for a VERY early car with the single side-draft carb. Note
that it has the rear heat exchangers built in. For the right early car, it's
the perfect find. But for a '72 FI car I wouldn't recommend it.

I think I have one of these early mufflers in stock, too. I'd love to sell
it, too. Not much demand for them, as there are very few single carb cars
still around.
