I put a genuine vw "fuel injection" emblem from what I think was a bug on
the rear decklid of mine.

Try explaining having Electronic Fuel Injection engines in our "antique"
cars.
When I got repeated questions about the flat-four, 1600 engine, I chose to
hand-cut and install a sticker on the rear window. It's a small, red
"Electronic Fuel Injection" decal from a Mercury Outboard motor.
Funny ... if the uninitiated see the EFI decal; they seem to be more
convinced. Just telling them doesn't seem to work.
Seeing is believing, I guess.
